It is a "good tired"

After this morning's service, we took our guest missionary, Alisa Ward, of Rural Compassion to El Jarrito Mexican Restaurant on Highland Knolls.  She really enjoyed it.  You see, Alisa LOVES Mexican food (she's a Texas native), but evidently there aren't any good Mexican restaurants in Springfield MO where she lives.  Sooooo....El Jarrito!

Then less than a couple of hours later, this evening The Cortez Family enjoyed a sweet time of food and fellowship with Vince & Amelia Jimenez, founding pastors of Gateway Fellowship of Katy, our "sister" church.  We met at Changs on Westgreen & I-10 (Bob and Cathy Haatz came to Changs as we were getting ready to leave).  Last year Pastor Vince battled throat cancer, and today is cancer free!   It was a long and challenging year for their entire family.  The beautiful part of the testimony is that he was able to preach every Sunday, even when his throat was raw from radiation.

As I type this blog, I am tired...but it is a "good tired".  Great service.  Great church.  Great fellowship with co-laborers in Christ.
