Junk Mail

I receive tons of mail at the church office on a regualr basis.  Frankly, most of it is simply junk mail that is efficiently re-routed to "File 13".  It seems there are hundreds of seminars, projects, and "cutting edge" products that our church "must" purchase if we want to "go to the next level".  I even get letters from unknown "bishops" and "international" ministries that I've never heard of, saying that the Lord had directed them to FLAG so that we can partner financially with them (and receive our 100-fold miracle!).

Mmmmm.   Jesus warned His disciples to not to "cast your pearls before swine" and also to "beware of wolves in sheep clothing".

I don't know why but your post also reminds me of a song by Trevor Morgan, and the lyrics of the chorus go, "beware of saviors that talk about love, and bare no scares. there's no way around it, love leaves it mark." refering to the scares on Jesus' hands, I tihnk its a great song
