Vietnamese restaurant?
Best Vietnamese restaurant in Katy? I'd like to take my wife to one soon. Recommendations are appreciated (as well as suggested menu items).
How about the best BQ in Katy? Looking for a sit-down restaurant (I already hear that Midway in Old Katy is the best take-out BBQ).
Finally, the most "different" but good restaurant in Katy?
can't help on Veitnamese
if you don't mind the drive, Spring Creek B-B-Q on Hwy ^ at West Little York is one of my favs. On sundays they play Christian music (last time we were there they were playing old country gospel) and one Sundays you get a free scoop of Blue Bell homemade vanilla. their fresh rolls are AWESOME. I really like getting the choped baker.
I haven't eaten at many "different" places but I can recomend my favorite pizza. for local Pizza Dou in Tiger Land shopping center, at the corner of katyland and 5th. great pizza, lots of cheese and CHEAP, or brother's pizza Hwy 6 and I-10. True NY style pie, large slices you have to practicaly fold in half to eat. the guys who run it are genuine New Yorkers ( they have pretty thick accents)

A "different" place we have tried recently is Cedars Grill and Market, its Mediterranean food. They are located on Mason in the same strip center as Piccamolo. The atmosphere is different because it is a small market but I thought the food was good. The hummus as very fresh and if you go you should try the lentil rice. Most of what’s on menu I don't recognize but they do have the basics. Veggies, chicken and if you don't eat no meat they have lamb (that was for Julie). Since their logo is a cedar tree I’m guessing they are Lebanese.
