This afternoon I took my wife to our favorite Chinese restaurant, Fortune Village on Grand Parkway, to celebrate Mother's Day (PS...she was the special Mother's Day speaker at church...incredible message!).  While sitting at a nice table near the front, we saw Greg Hubbard walk in with his mother-in-law and his wife's grown son.  A few minutes later his better half, Erin Rothchild, joined him.   We were able to visit briefly with her and her mom (who recognized a group of friends sitting at another table!).  Katy still is a small, quaint and friendly town in many ways.

If you go to FV, try their Steamed Chicken & Asparagus with either the white sauce (my wife's favorite) or the brown sauce (I usually request it "spicey").  Very attentive and friendly staff...relaxing and serene ambiance...great iced tea!

My husband and son cooked lunch for me on Mother's Day. I wasn't even allowed in the kitchen! And...they cleaned up afterward! It was a very relaxing Mother's Day.

My family took me to Carrabbas. We were expecting a long wait, but we were seated right away. They had even set up some outside tables, and we opted for that since it was such a beautiful day. I ordered my favorite dish...Spiedino de Mare. I even ordered tiramisu! As usual, we ran into Ted & Kitty Price. We always see them when we go there.
