Sudoku

Just recently discovered Sudoku.  I could see how it could be addictive.   As I understand, people all over the world are loyal fans.  You?

OUCH!!!   AGH!!!!   LOOOOOOORD, HELP HIM!!!!    CALL 911!!!!!!    IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE!!!!     NOOOOO!!!!!!!   

I just attended the Katy Rodeo.  This is basically what I was yelling at the top of my lungs for 2 hours.  I think those sitting at the bleachers around me figured out that I was not raised around rodeos.

Mr. Hurry-up-and-leave

My wife and I had lunch with a church member today at Carinos in Katy.  Since I was hungry, I finished my meal well ahead of the other two.  Well, the over-anxious waiter suddenly appeared out of nowhere to whisk my empty plate away, while loudly asking to my wife and our guest if they wanted "to go" boxes.  Folks, their plates weren't even half empty!   The ladies explained to Mr. Hurry-up-and-leave that they were still enjoying their meal.   Afterwards, it seemed he was showing up every 5 minutes to see if we needed anything.  Mmmmm...I wonder what was the hurry?

Tonight I'm continuing the weekly expository teaching on 1 Thessalonians.  Subject matter this evening?  "Mind Your Own Business!"   Yep...the Bible definitely exhorts us to do so.  Just take a look at 1 Thess 4:11.

We're headed back home

We're headed back home today.  Thinking of stopping in Crockett on our way to Katy to have lunch with some friends from the church we used to pastor there.   Probably will have chicken friend steak!

We're in East Texas this weekend preaching a revival.  I really like the "woodsy" feel of this region, as well as the slower pace.  The people are not as hyper as many suburban folks are.  Great good ole' fashion food as well.  I sometime get tired of fanchise and exotic cuisine....from time to time just need a big chicken fried steak smothered in gravy!

Is there any place around the Katy area that makes good, old fashion banana splits?   You know, a canoe-shaped dish with a banana sliced in half, topped by one scoop of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, dribbled with chocolate syrup, covered by whipped cream, the slathered with strawberry syrup, spinkled with nuts, and finally topped with a cherry.   Did I miss anything?
