I had a severe case of insomnia last night. Finally went to sleep at 5 a.m. only to get up a little after 7 a.m. Rough day. But God! During the night I was able to spend quality AND quantity time with the Lord, and pray some things through.
Next time you can't sleep? Don't panic. Make it work for you, and be "prayerfully proactive."
Yes, I have found this to be a great time to have "private time" with Jesus and the Holy Spirit too. When it has happened at home, I go to the recliner and just get quiet and sit and listen, read, and or pray, and the room becomes to feel like church. This also happened when in the hospital a couple of years ago. It was surreal almost. The presence of God filled the room more than a few times and brought me peace where there was fear and apprehension. I love our Lord!
