The BEST Thai restaurant....

Just went to Nit Noi...the BEST Thai restaurant I've been to!   It was FABULOUS!   Located at Westheimer & Kirkwood.  Very classy decor, incredible service, strong iced tea and delicious cuisine.  I had the curry chicken...mama mia!!!

Holy Ghost Restlessness

Sometimes the Lord causes us to experience a "Holy Ghost Restlestness" meant to excel us unto excellence, for the glory of God.  Frankly, when He does that we often feel annoyed.  Why?  Because we've become settled in our "spiritual groove", especially when we are in ministry.  This often happens when we've already come a long way, or have experienced a measure of success in our ministry.  We think we've "arrived".   But serving the Lord is a continuous journey.  The Bible tells us about going from "glory to glory".   Well, in order to do so, you have to say "good bye" to the former glory before saying "hello" to the new & better glory.   Oh, blessed Holy Ghost Restlessness that lovingly intrudes our world so that we can grow forward in Him!

This morning I attended a pastors' conference....

This morning I attended a pastors' conference at North Central A/G in Spring to hear guest speaker, John Hagee.  I have enjoyed his ministry for many years, and had the privilege of personally meeting him when I was Crusade Director for Evangelist RW Schambach years ago.  Most folks are surprised to find out that this tremendous and fiery preacher is a very humble and mild-mannered man when off stage. Pastor Hagee also has a wonderful sense of humor.  Another bit of interesting trivia - many people don't know that he was born and raised in the Baytown area where his father served as senior pastor of the First Assembly of God.  Neat person.  I like him.

Their stack of onion rings....

We finally went to the new Cheddar's on I-10 & Westgreen...and LOVED IT!   Great food and surprisingly affordable.  Their stack of fried onion rings are phenomenal.   The service was friendly, fast and attentive.   We will definitely be back!
