This morning I had the privilege of ministering at the Pregnancy Help Center of Katy during the staff devotions. Great people there doing a tremendous job. The center actually is a very nice place, and has a warm, "homey" feel to it. I can't imagine how many lives of unborn babies have been rescued as a result of their loving care and godly counsel. A number of our church folks have volunteered at the PHC thrughout the years; some are still being a blessing to this ministry (SHOUT-OUT to Erin Rothchild & Mike Dowling!).
Pregnancy Help Center is an awesome Christian facility that is run by people with a heart to serve and help women and young ladies and their fella's, through all kinds of situations. Scripture is a part of every classs that I have experienced. This is really neat. There are programs to help in each various stage of pregnancy, to giving birth, alternative adoption information, sessions for for those who were not able to carry to term, or for a woman or person who has had an abortion and is hurting and wondering where her child is and where she stands with Jesus...there is a lending library, maternity closet and even a way to earn baby clothes and baby items free of charge..counseling, and Ultra Sound information as well...probably even more than whats listed here.....Enjoy and LOVE being a part of this ministry and others who are committed to helping and reaching out to the people who walk through the doors. Couples are seen as well, many girls/women bring their babies dads/husbands along with them...Mike is a local hero there...He is amazing and is able to share Jesus with out fear time and time again. Sorry to have missed you Pastor Al, people would have gotten my cootie germs and that would not have been very fair to anyone. Wonder if we can get Debbie back to FLAG...She still giggles about being a "Shaker"...she is easy to wuv. Anyone with some extra time, you can make a huge difference in many lives...all it takes is a little bit of your time.
