This is NOT a "cold front"!!!

Well, I'm a bit disappointed.   Yesterday, the news weatherman predicted a "cold front" would be arriving late last night.  OK....it's rather nice outside today, with very low humidity, but it is NOT A "COLD FRONT"!    Not even "sweater weather".   I guess the definition of "cold front" is rather relative to where you live in this country.   Trust me, when folks in the northeast where I'm from hear that a "cold front" is coming, they are not anticipating low 80's, 70's, 60's, etc.!!

Just got off the phone....

Just got off the phone with a very dear friend of mine, Peter Roark.  He is the founder and CEO of one of the premier Christian marketing agencies in North America, Roark Creative.  Their roster of past & present clients reads like the "Who's Who" of large ministries.  Peter and I have known each other for a hundred years, having worked for a couple of the same international ministries before he founded his company, and I pursued the pastorate ministry.  In fact, he served as a groomsman at our wedding.   FYI...his agency designed our church's "brand' and website, which we've received many compliments about.   Great person.  The son of a Church of God preacher.  Devoted family man.  Special friend.  A talented man with a passion to help ministries to effectively and efficiently proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ with excellence.

QUICK! COVER YOUR HAIR!!!

Just returned from two wonderful days in San Marcos to celebrate our wedding anniversary.   Explored caves deep down in the ground at Wonderworld (they claim there are no bats go down there, but I definitely saw one!  (QUICK!  COVER YOUR HAIR!!!!).  Shopped at the humongous Prime Outlet Mall.   Ate dinner at a fabulous steak house, called Texas Reds Steakhouse.  It is located in a converted former cotton gin on a dark, lonely side street.   Also, tremendously enjoyed a local "hole-in-the-wall' Mexican restaurant that came highly recommeded by local folks.  It is called Garcia's.  Awesome chicken fried chicken smothered in cheese and pico de gallo.  

Today my wife and I celebrate....

Today my wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary!    Best friends that fell in love, married each other, and are joyfully serving God together.    Wow.   I'm blessed!

Breakfast at Snappy's

Breakfast at Snappy's in Old Katy is still the BEST!   Small town ambiance, lot's of jeans and baseball caps, and old timers catching up with the local news.  Great, attentive service.   Feels like you're in a small town a zillion miles away from big city life.  Nice.

I can't imagine how many lives of unborn babies....

This morning I had the privilege of ministering at the Pregnancy Help Center of Katy during the staff devotions.   Great people there doing a tremendous job.   The center actually is a very nice place, and has a warm, "homey" feel to it.    I can't imagine how many lives of unborn babies have been rescued as a result of their loving care and godly counsel.   A number of our church folks have volunteered at the PHC thrughout the years; some are still being a blessing to this ministry (SHOUT-OUT to Erin Rothchild & Mike Dowling!).
