Just returned from two wonderful days in San Marcos to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Explored caves deep down in the ground at Wonderworld (they claim there are no bats go down there, but I definitely saw one! (QUICK! COVER YOUR HAIR!!!!). Shopped at the humongous Prime Outlet Mall. Ate dinner at a fabulous steak house, called Texas Reds Steakhouse. It is located in a converted former cotton gin on a dark, lonely side street. Also, tremendously enjoyed a local "hole-in-the-wall' Mexican restaurant that came highly recommeded by local folks. It is called Garcia's. Awesome chicken fried chicken smothered in cheese and pico de gallo.
Cover your hair...what about all the birds that sit on power lines on Mason...red lights can be a new experience and keep the car washes busy

You both sure hit a lot of the local favorite spots. Throw in a tubing trip down the San Marcos River and we would have to adopt you as our own. I'm glad you enjoyed our town and had a great time celebrating your anniversary.
